Umi works for a major publishing company and has just been promoted to desk editor. Her relationship with Daichi, her boyfriend since college, is also going well, and she seems to be living a fulfilling life. One day, thinking it might be useful as material for work, she casually orders an android called an “AI Love Doll.” The very moment she places the order, the intercom rings. “I’ve come here to comfort you.” Standing on the other side of the door is Sora, a young man who looks exactly like the love doll she customized to match her preferences. He is so beautiful and perfect that he looks completely human, which makes Umi wary of him. But shortly afterward, Daichi suddenly breaks up with her.
