Burn Down
Summary
Sora’s seven-year-old birthday. A small mistake turned into a raging fire, consuming everything. Even the relationship between the two good friends was no exception. “Hakbin… I’ll always be by your side. I won’t let you be lonely. I’ll be your mother, your sister, your friend… I’ll do whatever you want. I promise.” Just like her childhood promise, Sora silently cared for him, tolerated his childish antics, and repaid the “debt” in her heart. What kept her from the suffocating cycle of guilt was the hope that she could distance herself from Hakbin once she became an adult. She thought she would be able to break free from him and find her own life… “I think you’re not coming to your senses.” “…” “But now you know, right? Who is important to you?” “…” “Keep doing this from now on. I’m the one you need to save. You must always look only at me so I don’t go wrong.” Hot tears flowed from the corners of her eyes, holding him in. Her vision blurred, and her breath caught in her throat. Hak-bin pressed his forehead against hers, leaving her speechless. “You’re responsible for that, aren’t you?” Hak-bin’s words stabbed her heart like a sharp dagger. Cold blood flowed from her heart, and her breath soon took on a burnt scent. “You’re mine, aren’t you?”
